Used for phoneme awareness activities and the development of sound-symbol correspondence and spelling. Letter tiles include consonants; digraphs (wh, ch, sh, th, ck) vowels (a, e, i, o, u, y); r-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur); vowel teams (ai, ay, ee, ey, oa, oe, ue, oi, oy, au, aw, ou, ow, oo, ea, ew); and glued sounds (all, an, am, ang, ing, ong, ung, ank, ink, onk, unk, ild, ind, old, ost, olt, ive).
