Hobby Boss 1/48 Scale Focke-Wulf FW190D-12 - Plastic Model Building Set # 81719
Due to concerns around the enemy's new fighters, the German Air Force put out a requirement for new fighter planes. The design of the Dr.Kurt Tank finally became the Fw 190 which was regarded as one of the best fighters during WWII at the end of 1903s. The fantastic performance of the Fw 190 soon led the replacement of the Messerschmidt Bf-109.
The D-12 model was developed in parallel with the D-11. The armament comprised a 30mm MK108 coaxial cannon and two MG151/20 20mm cannons in the each wing, the aircraft was powered by a Jumo 213F engine which the same as the D-11. The prototype once achieved a maximum speed of 730km/h at altitude of 9150m.
